Members may book all squash courts, except squash court 7, up to 14 days in advance.
Squash court 7 may only be booked on the same day.
Members may book all tennis courts, except grass courts, up to 14 days in advance.
Grass courts can only be booked on the day from 10.00 am.
During peak time a member may only book one court (including indoor and outdoor surfaces) within the same time of day ie Morning/Afternoon/Evening for a maximum of 90 minutes.
All players (who have given permission for their name to be published) must be added to a booking.
Members can book fitness classes up to 7 days in advance
The new booking sheets for courts and classes are automatically added daily at 6.30am.
The member who books the court should select playing partners/opponents to show on the booking sheets.
There are no booking fees for Squash, Outdoor Tennis and Fitness Classes.
Indoor Tennis, £1 per 10 minutes, minimum 60 or 90 minutes depending on court -- see booking sheets.
When unable to play or attend a fitness class, Members should cancel the court or class as soon as possible.
Squash and Outdoor Tennis
The system will automatically log a "late-cancellation" when a booking is cancelled within 48 hours, however, this log is automatically deleted as soon as the same court (date and start time) is re-booked by another member.
At this stage, there are no penalties for late-cancellations (but they are logged and counted within the system).
Indoor Tennis Courts
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy for indoor courts.
If you cancel an indoor court booking more than 24 hours prior, your booking fee will be automatically refunded as booking system credit.
If you cancel within 24 hours, your booking fee will only be refunded if the court is rebooked.
The system will automatically log a "late-cancellation" when a booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the Class begins.
Three or more late cancellations within a calendar week (commencing Monday) will result in a member losing their booking rights for classes for 7 days, starting from the following Monday.
CHECK-IN / NO-SHOW policy:
The member who books the court or who has booked a place in a Fitness Class MUST check-in within 90 minutes prior to playing or attending the class on any one of the touch screen terminals.
You will find touch screen terminals at the reception desks in the main building and in the Indoor Tennis Centre, in the squash corridor, and outside the Fitness Suite.
To check-in, you can either swipe your membership card on the card reader next to the kiosk system, or you can use your PIN number (you will hear the reader beep when the card is read).
If you do not know your PIN number, click "My Settings" when logged in to the booking system on the website (http://edgbastonpriory.mycourts.co.uk).
You can also use your PIN to register your card on the system if it's "not recognised".
The system will automatically assume a "NO-SHOW" when the member who booked the court or class fails to check-in.
At this stage, there are no penalties for no-shows for courts (but they are logged and counted within the system).
One or more 'No-Shows' (failure to check-in) for a Fitness Class within a calendar week (commencing Monday) will result in a Member losing their booking rights for classes and for 7 days, starting from the following Monday.
If in the case of an emergency, you are unable to cancel your class online or in person at the kiosk, you should call and speak to our Systems Administrator, Sue Harris, on 0121 440 2492 at your earliest convenience.
